What another fantastic summer of trips! I just wanted to express a special thanks for my special "Dad & Grand kids" trip I took in late August this year.
I brought my Dad for his first trip to the BWCA this summer, along with my girls. For his first venture into the BWCA, we went on a trip short in length, but filled with an unmeasurable amount of joy. Every time I talk to my Dad, or any of his friends for that matter, his trip to the BWCA is always, always mentioned with great pride and joy.
To say my Dad had a good time would truly be an understatement. He enjoyed every aspect of the trip and was intrigued by the whole outfitting world along with the whole wilderness world.
I deeply appreciate the extra care and time you all took as my Dad inquired and learned how all of this 'Wilderness Tripping' stuff works. Lot's of new terms and endless new experiences on our all-too-short adventure.
While he was overwhelmed (you should have seen him just admire the lake as if viewing a piece of art) by the serenity and beauty of the Boundary Waters, he was also impressed by you. On the ride home he just flat-out said "Wow, those outfitters were GREAT." Indeed, you were.
The wilderness does it's best to make us marvel at its beauty time and time again. It draws me in year after year, trip after trip. You guys help make it comfortable through your gear, accessible for many through your knowledge and even more meaningful through the genuineness of all on your staff.
