 2024 BWCAW Permit Reservation Update:
 

The Go-Live Date for all entry points will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 9am CST.  
Reservations are for dates from May 1 to September 30, 2024.  

Permit reservations can be made at  www.recreation.gov  or  by calling 1-877-444-6777. 

• Recreation.gov reservation fee is $6.00 for all BWCAW permits.
• All group leaders are required to have a valid email address in addition to their mailing address & phone number.
• Each alternate leader is also required to have a valid email address.  If you are making your own permit the alternate leader will have 72 hours
  to accept being an alternate (Rec.gov will send out an email) or their name will not appear on the permit.  Exception: If Voyageur North makes 
  your permit, we will be able to validate your alternate leaders.
• No lottery for any kind of permits.
• You must have the latest version of an officially supported browser to use Recreation.gov's website.
• Camping fees remain the same: $16 per adult & $8 per youth (17 yrs & under)
